"Into the Rainforest" is the front cover design from the book, Tropical Flower Garden, by Rosalie Wakefield. The book is now out of print but 28 pages of design instructions and diagrams, a color photo and fabric print are included with this item. The book's back cover design, "The Enchanted Jungle" is also available, as is another design using flowers from the book, #937 "Circle Sampler".

The flower lei is known as “the circle of love – and aloha,” and this garland of flowers is lovingly assembled with new tropical blossoms and Brazilian dimensional embroidery techniques. Our Thai Gardenia is stitched with an easy Locking Detached Buttonhole Stitch. Maui Magnolia features a new version of Millefiori’s “Stretch,” and the Tahitian Glory Vine with its Travelin’ Tendrils is stitched with a version of NuWeave. Woven throughout the lei is the exotic bougainvillea, stitched with the Picot Cast-on and a new Picot Drizzle.

Old-fashioned Cecile Brünner sweetheart roses, bridal wreath, morning glory, amaryllis, double English primroses, and silver lace vine are flowers that graced the gardens of yesterday. Cécile Brünner, the Sweetheart Rose, fragrant old-fashioned lilacs, delicate little ladybells, pinks and baby’s breath are some of the delightful flowers often found in Granny’s garden. These bloomers are stitched with several new techniques – cast-on rings, a new bellflower technique, and an unusual method of stitching both the dianthus (pinks) and the beautiful Polyantha rose, plus the amazing Charisma Knot.
