The nautical theme of "My Ship Came In," a yearning within us all, features an interesting textured border, several new stitches and variations of familiar techniques. The ship is stitched with Rosalie Wakefield’s original Interlocking Stem Stitch. Rick Rack Stitch, Padded Outline Stitch, Double Drizzles and Needleweaving, as well as Thread Lettering and the Turkey Knot are also used to complete the embroidery.
The screen print is marked for a square or circular frame/border. This design is perfect for wearable clothing appliqué or child’s design. .PDF files are sold retail only.

Snippets of stitches – a reference sampler for your sewing box! Lola and Iris are used to stitch 2-3” samples of 17 border stitches for Crazy Quilts or dimensional embroidery designs. Space is left on the screened print for adding 2-3 favorite stitch combinations for edgings.

Selena, the Queen of the Night (Selenecereus, the Night-Blooming Cereus), reigns over a night flower bouquet in this Brazilian dimensional embroidery design which is printed for a pillow top, but may also be framed.
Fifteen other LadyFlowers of the Evening and ten leaves and ferns each are dressed with new and easy stitch variations of familiar techniques. In addition, The LadyFlowers play ‘dress-up’ with beads and metallic threads for added sparkle. This is a design that may be entirely stitched with beads.

A versatile pincushion, lovingly hand-crafted on a 4x4” fabric-covered solid base. The sturdy pincushion is filled with white sand in an inner lining pouch and holds needles securely in place for drizzles. A magnet catches needles as you finish each stitch. Each pincushion is truly an original!
