‘Nora Barlow’ is Aquilegia vulgaris (also known as Granny’s Bonnet), a dainty double columbine grown for its unique spurless pompom flowers. This charming, old-fashioned cottage garden flower is very realistically stitched with a new, original Brazilian dimensional embroidery stitch developed by Rosalie Wakefield of Millefiori and known as the Enhanced Drizzle. Dimension is added to leaves with floss shading and the Ridged Blanket Stitch. A suggested border is included with the pattern and little Glory Bee! s buzz around patiently awaiting your needle.
The Nora Barlow Columbine is available a .pdf file only and includes a traceable pattern for transferring to the fabric of your choice, detailed instructions and diagrams in full color, a guide to stitches and finishing suggestions. PDF files are sold retail only.
